Actor ‘Michael Ironside’ Cast as Captain Cold’s Father in ‘The Flash’!
Exciting casting news today for Season 2 of The Flash. We have learned that actor Michael Ironside, who many of you may remember as ‘General Lane‘ onSmallville has been cast to play Captain Cold’s Father on ‘The Flash‘. For more details on this, check out the latest after the JUMP!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Ironside is set to appear in The Flash as Lewis Snart, the father of Leonard (a.k.a. Captain Cold) and Lisa (a.k.a. Golden Glider). Will he also be a bad guy? Well, the official description says that he’s a cold-blooded, ruthless career criminal. Recently released from prison, he returns to Central City with a plan that will endanger both of his children.
In the comics, Leonard’s father is abusive towards his children and he ended up being brought up by his grandfather, the owner of an ice truck (how much of that will factor into the series is hard to say). Ironside – who you may remember as Lois Lane’s father in Smallville – will make his debut in the third episode which is titled “Family Of Rogues”. What do you guys think of this casing choice?
